Preparing for life after incarceration requires meaningful preparation, personal growth, practical skills, and positive relationships that can continue beyond release.<\/p><p data-start=\"1009\" data-end=\"1392\">Our approach helps incarcerated individuals prepare for the transition from an institutional environment back into family, social, and community settings. Through trauma informed programming and evidence based cognitive behavioral therapy, participants are given opportunities to develop healthier patterns of thinking and behavior while strengthening character and prosocial skills.<\/p><p data-start=\"1394\" data-end=\"1725\">We recognize that the journey back into society can involve challenges related to trauma, abuse, anger, mental health, addiction and recovery, parenting, employment, social skills, and family relationships. Our programs are designed to address these areas while helping men build a stronger foundation for life after incarceration.<\/p><p data-start=\"1727\" data-end=\"1963\">Volunteer based mentorship is also an important part of the Damascus approach.
